You know when you have an addiction to a song and you repeat it a few hundred times to get it out of your system? Well, this is what has been running in my head for the last week and I can’t seem to get it out.
Share my sweet pain!
This is an amazing song by the 10,000 Maniacs that they played on MTV Unplugged in 1993 before Natalie Merchant split from the group to start her solo career. I remember few of their songs growing up, even though they were the staple radio music that was played. But, I do love Natalie Merchant’s voice in this song.
You never really appreciate the music when you are still strapped to your roller blades trying to do the silly stunts while your friend’s older siblings “watch over” you. It is always later when you start to appreciate it. But they were still good times – especially the “It was a good idea at the time” moments.
thanks for putting a smile on my face. first time i hear this version!
you’re welcome
Thanks for sharing this. I need to find out more details about it.
