There's an Alien in My Living Room

Reunions are one of my most favorite meetings that take place and I tend to try to always make it to them. Seeing old friends, how they all are and the news that we have missed while each of us were going through our own lives is always fun. Some gossip always comes up, but it usually stays tame.

This time around, I was mostly the center of one of the gossip stories since the news station affiliated with our publishing house covered a new story about aliens. Yes, you read it right – The Existence of Aliens. I know this is one of those sci-fi topics that have been around for a while, and Lebanese TV tends to love topics that are out of this world – which in this case is quite literal – but I for one would have never guessed that Mariam Nour, a woman that we had to deal with and is well known in the region for her extremist views on life, truly does believe that she has regular conversations with extraterrestrials in her own living room.

I am not saying that there aren’t other life forms in this world, but to say that they are here and you talk with them, that is the illogical part of the argument. What I also found hilarious is that she goes on about how there are ‘doors’ in Syria that are wormholes to these other worlds that should be protected and that there are those who are trying to destroy them. But, I have to point out that people like you and I, especially if you have any body modifications such as tattoos, plastic surgery, and I think she might also mean any other surgery that has changed your body, are unable to see these fantastic beings.

Below is the bit where Mariam Nour argues with Tony Khalife that she had an alien as her guest, albeit a square faced one.

I do believe that there is a very great chance that there is life out there. NASA has been sending out probes and several scientists have researched the topic itself. There is a likely hood since there are several candidate planets that have similar conditions that support life as earth has. Also, the Vatican put their 2 cents in saying that there is the possibility but, you have to try very, very hard to convince me that they are visiting Earth, and especially Mariam Nour’s living room.

BTW If anyone can find what “The Other Side, 11 months” is, let me know because I have no idea what it is. And I suppose to be on the safe side – those in Syria watch out for that door!!! Then again maybe Mariam also watched the below video about the man from the Vatican claiming that there are aliens, she certainly is old enough to have watched it live…..
